Summit County Orthopedic Rehab

Built for athletes. Open to everyone.

SCOR is a cash-based clinic, which means the session belongs to you and not to an insurance company. That buys something simple and rare: enough time to find the actual cause of the problem, and enough time to fix it properly.

01

FIND THE REAL CAUSE

A full movement assessment, not a five-minute glance. Most pain shows up somewhere other than where it started, and treating the symptom is why it keeps coming back.

02

CALM IT DOWN

Hands-on treatment, dry needling, cupping and shockwave therapy to take the pain and tension out — so you can actually train and move well enough to rebuild.

03

BUILD IT BACK STRONGER

Loading, strength work and movement retraining so the injury does not return. This is the step most clinics skip, and it is the one that keeps you out.

WHAT WE DO

six Ways to get you moving

Rehab, recovery and performance under one roof — so you are not handed off to somebody else the moment you stop hurting.

Physical therapy

Sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, and chronic pain—assessed properly and rebuilt to last.

Learn more →

Dry needling

Releases the trigger points behind stubborn tightness, so range of motion comes back fast.

Learn more →

Shockwave therapy

For the injuries that will not resolve— plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, and stubborn tendon pain.

Learn more →

Athlete recovery

Cupping, compression, and soft tissue work that keeps you game-ready through a season.

Learn more →

Personal training

Programming from someone who knows your injury history— because your PT wrote it.

Learn more →

Fitness consultation

A movement screen and an honest plan— the first right step if you are not sure where to start.

Meet your therapist

Dr. Austin Foguth, PT, DPT

Austin is a licensed physical therapist and a graduate of Ohio University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He founded SCOR on a straightforward belief: everyone deserves to move, train and live without limitations.

He treats competitive athletes, weekend warriors and active adults — anyone who wants to get back to their sport, their training, or just their life without pain getting in the way. Every session is his, start to finish.

Outside the clinic he lifts, runs and cycles, which is roughly the same advice he gives everyone else.

the people have spoken

SCOR ATHLETES

“I'd been stuck in my training with a couple of sources of pain. Austin put together an excellent training plan and a series of PT appointments, and I've made significant progress. I'm feeling great.”

Dave P.
Training & Pain Management

“Austin was extremely helpful after an ice skating fall. He got me to a quick recovery after a meniscus tear. The dry needling and cupping were both new to me and he made it a very positive process.”

Megan W.
Meniscus Tear Recovery

“The entire experience felt very tailored. Austin is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and effective in both treatment and diagnosis.”

Emily K.

“His expertise in dry needling and recovery has helped me manage chronic neck and shoulder pain, and his training program made it possible to get back into a workout routine postpartum.”

Justina R.
Postpartum Training

“He showed me exercises and stretches to help with an old injury, and I've done them daily since. My shoulder hasn't felt this good in so long.”

Before you book

Questions people actually ask

Do I Need a Referral?

In most cases, no. Ohio is a direct access state, so you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. You can book an evaluation today.

Do you take insurance?

SCOR is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly. You get a detailed receipt — a superbill — that you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. We accept all major cards, HSA and FSA.

What does SCOR stand for?

Summit County Orthopedic Rehab. The name reflects the commitment to serving this community with specialised rehabilitation for athletes and active people.

How long is a session?

Most sessions run 30–60 minutes, one-on-one with Austin the whole time. That is the point of the cash-based model — no rushing, no being passed to an aide.

Do you only work with athletes?

No. Plenty of clients are runners, lifters and weekend hikers, and plenty just want to keep up with their kids or grandkids without something hurting.

What happens at the first visit?

Austin reviews your history and goals, runs a full movement assessment, identifies the root cause rather than the symptom, and builds your plan. Hands-on treatment starts the same visit — you will not spend an hour filling in forms.
